Jason Nett
Jason Nett is a highly accomplished and versatile musician, recognized as a composer, performer, conductor, producer/engineer, and educator. His deep passion for music is evident in his extensive body of work across various styles and genres. From opera and symphonic pieces to chamber orchestra dance compositions, choir pieces, and solo works, Nett’s compositions have been performed by esteemed ensembles such as the Vancouver and Vancouver Island Symphonies, Aventa Ensemble, Napa Valley Symphony Players, Vertical Orchestra, and many others.
Nett’s musical journey includes notable positions as Composer in Residence of the Vancouver Island Symphony and the Gros Morne Summer Music Festival. He has also contributed as an Associate Conductor for the Napa Valley Choral Society and conducted the Napa Valley Dance Company’s production of The Nutcracker. As a skilled multi-instrumentalist, he has toured worldwide as a guitarist and music director and has held positions as a professional bass/baritone soloist.
In addition to his compositional and performance expertise, Nett is well-versed in studio production, having collaborated with renowned artists such as Limp Bizkit and worked alongside multi-platinum producers including David Kershenbaum, Scott Church, Dave Schiffman, and Chris Potter.
Currently, Nett serves as the Executive Music Director and Composer in Residence for Les AMIS, beginning in their 2014 season, and he will also perform as a guitarist in their 2013 concert series, showcasing his exceptional talents and dedication to the world of music.
